City of Yonkers

If you are looking to buy a home in Yonkers, at times referred to as the City of Hills or the City of Gracious Living, there are many unique neighborhoods. The City of Yonkers has been having a revival that includes upscale restaurants & many activities. The redeveloped downtown waterfront has been experiencing incredible growth including the Daylighted Saw Mill River, upgrading of city parks, most notably the beautiful Untermyer Gardens. The old & abandoned Boyce Thompson Center in North Yonkers  has been redeveloped and officially opened in May '17. It is mixed use & includes doctors offices and restaurants including Fortina Restaurant.  The waterfront has beautiful views of the Hudson River, George Washington Bridge, & the Palisades. Located in Yonkers is Tibbets Brook Park which features a picnic area & swimming pool, Westchester's Ridge Hill, Sarah Lawrence College, Yonkers Raceway/Casino (Empire City) & Cross County Mall.  Yonkers quick & easy commute to Manhattan by train, parkways or bus is great for commuters. Norhwest Yonkers

You would love Northwest Yonkers if you enjoy nature - taking walks, running, hiking, bike riding. Beautiful grounds along Hudson River include Untermyer Park, Croton Aqueduct Trail, & Lenoir Preserve. Enjoy the summer concerts at Untermyer Park or just a walk around the beautiful grounds. Also close to St Johns Hospital, doctors offices, & Saw Mill Pkwy. The old and abandoned Boyce Thompson Center off Executive Boulevard has been redeveloped for mixed use and officially opened. This 85,000 square foot building will include medical offices, retail stores, and restaurants to including Fortina Restaurant well known for their Italian cuisine which opened September 2017.

Downtown Yonkers

Downtown Yonkers has gone through some incredible revival and redevelopment the last few years, and it continues to include many new co-op and condo complexes and new businesses. What was once the City Pier is now Xavier's X20 on the Hudson which has fine dining with an incredible view of the Hudson River and offers valet parking. If you like Italian food, Zuppas is the place to go. The daylighted Saw Mill is a site to see and is across from the Yonkers Metro North Train Station. Also downtown is the Library, Post Office, and Department of Motor Vehicles. The views at the city pier of the Hudson River, New Jersey Palisades and George Washington Bridge are incredible with beautiful sunsets to be enjoyed. The redevelopment has not stopped and downtown Yonkers continues to grow and improve.


Park Hill

Plenty of choices in the Park Hill section of Yonkers. Like the neighborhood name, there are lots of hills and winding roads in this area. A mix of style homes in many different price ranges from low to high. From Leslie Sutherland Park in this area there is an amazing view of Yonkers. The beautiful Victorian homes in the historic section of Park Hill are amazing. A well known and favored restaurant is Giulio's on Park Hill Avenue. This restaurant that offers Southern Italian Cuisine has been around for many years, and many who have moved away return for a visit to Giulio's. Close to all parkways! Homes in Park Hill can be found in zip codes 10701 and 10705. The Park Hill neighborhood offers something for everyone!


Colonial Heights

Colonial Heights is Located between Central Ave & Scarsdale Road, and near the Village of Tuckahoe and Bronxville, this Northeast Yonkers location gives you many choices in restaurants, shops, entertainment on Central Ave, & it's not far from Westchester's Ridge Hill Shopping Center. Close to all Major highways with easy access to Manhattan by bus or train at Crestwood or Tuckahoe train stations. It is lush with history and culture with some beautiful homes and attractive landscaping.  It is in Zip Code 10710.



The Dunwoodie neighborhood in Southeast Yonkers offers a quiet residential neighborhood, yet plenty to do as there is Dunwoodie Golf Course and close to Yonkers Raceway, Cross County Shopping Center, and plenty of restaurants. At times referred to as the little Italy of Yonkers, great choice of Italian restaurants and pizza places in this East Yonkers neighborhood. This area includes some homes in zip codes 10704 and 10701. Close to transportation and major highways.  Home to St. Joseph's Seminary.


Lincoln Park

If you like to walk to local shops, restaurants, bus stops, Lincoln Park in Yonkers is the place for you. If you like pools & picnic grounds, Tibbetts Brook Park is close; for entertainment, Yonkers Raceway/Casino is nearby. Lots to do. Lincoln Park is zip codes 10704 & 10705. Close to NY City, and between McLean Ave & Central Avenue.


Nepera Park

 Nepera Park in Yonkers is bordered by Nepperhan Ave, North Broadway and its northern border is Hastings-on-Hudson. This location is close to all you need, a quick drive to anywhere with the Saw Mill Parkway right off Executive Boulevard or Nepperhan Ave. The homes are very well maintained with beautifully manicured lawns. One of the homes, my listing in Nepera Park was featured in HGTV's Property Brothers, "Making Room for Grandma", Season 5, Episode 3. Close to many local shops on Nepperhan Ave. If you enjoy exercising, Equalize Fitness is on Odell Plaza which adjoins to Gymcats for young children. If you prefer walking, Untermyer Park, Lenoir Preserve and the Aqueduct Trail are on North Broadway. Also on Executive Blvd is Gianna's Italian Restaurant, Dunkin Doughnuts, the Hampton Inn & Suites. The Boyce Thompson Center  has officially opened and is mixed use. Nepera Park is a great location offering easy access to just about everything.  It is in Zip Code 10703


Ludlow Park

Ludlow Park neighborhood on the west side of Yonkers borders the Hudson River and Riverdale, NY.  Walking distance to Metro North train, a 25 minute ride to Grand Central Station.  Some of the homes have a beautiful view of the Hudson River and the NJ Palisades.  It is one stop North of the Riverdale Station and one stop South of the Yonkers Station.  Walking distance to Pearls Hawthorne School, Mt. Saint Vincent College in Riverdale and Five Star Residences of Yonkers which is a senior living community.  The beautiful tree lined streets include Victorian, Colonial, Tudor and Gothic homes.  Ludlow Park is in zip code 10705.

Southeast Yonkers

Southeast Yonkers neighborhood has some beautiful tree lined streets and is close to everything.  A walkable neighborhood close to local shops, restaurants, entertainment including Yonkers Raceway/Casino.  Cross County Shopping Center is in Southeast Yonkers on Central Park Avenue off of McLean.  The McLean Avenue area has just about everything you will need, local shops, deli's, restaurants, bus stops, and plenty of pubs.  This neighborhood is in zip code 10704. 


Woodstock Park

The Woodstock neighborhood is located in Northwest Yonkers.  It is a beautiful neighborhood with gorgeous homes and lush lawns and landscaping.  On its Western border is the Hudson River and NJ Palisades, giving many of the homes a beautiful view.  Woodstock is located between Warburton Avenue and North Broadway, thus close to everything on these main streets, while the neighborhood remains quiet and private.  It's northern border is Hastings-On-Hudson which offers a nice little village for walks to shops, restaurants, and the Aqueduct for walking, jogging, bike riding.

Beech Hill

The Beech Hill neighborhood (the most north eastern part of Yonkers) is in zip code 10583 in Yonkers, borders Scarsdale and is in the Scarsdale PO.  Close to Central Avenue shops and restaurants.  Convenient for commuters offering a quick walk to the Scarsdale train station.  It is a high end and hilly area and most homes have alot of land.  Yonkers school system.
